Privacy statement pursuant to art. 13, Italian Legislative Decree of 30 June 2003 on the protection of personal data

Italian Law no. 675 of 31 December 1996 which set forth provisions for the protection of individuals and other parties regarding the processing of personal data, has been abrogated by Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, which introduced a new Code regarding the protection of personal data (hereafter referred to as "Code"),, effective 1 January 2004. Specifically, the Code requires that data subjects be informed in advance of the use of data regarding them, and allows the processing of personal data by Alcantara S.p.A. only with the express authorisation of the data subject. For this purpose, Alcantara S.p.A. (hereafter referred to as "Company"), with registered office in Via Mecenate 86, 20138 Milan, Italy is hereby providing data subjects with the following information1. Purpose and method of data processing
1.1. Personal data are processed within the scope of the Company's normal operations for the following purposes:
a) fulfilling the requirements of current laws and regulations;
b) managing relations with Customers/Users;
c) other purposes related to the Company's activity. The Company deems processing and communication of such data to be useful in the improvement of the products and services it offers, and the following activities fall into the scope of this definition:
- assessment of satisfaction level of Customers/Users with the quality of the products/services provided and the activity carried out by the Company;- market research, carried out directly or through specialised companies through in-person or telephone surveys, questionnaires, etc.
1.2. Personal data are processed using electronic or automated ITC instruments or through manual processing, using a logic directly correlated to the purposes for which they were collected, and in a way that ensures their security and confidentiality.
1.3. the data provided shall not be circulated to third parties without the explicit prior consent of the data subject.

2. Source of personal data

The personal data processed by the Company are directly gathered from Customers/Users, and in every case, all data are processed in compliance with the law and with privacy requirements.

3. Nature of data disclosure

The disclosure of data is optional. Such data are, however, needed to fulfil the data subject's request, and without them it will be impossible to carry out any activities on his/her behalf.

4. Rights of data subject (art. 7)

The Code entitles data subjects to the exercise of specific rights (art. 7). Specifically:
1. A data subject shall have the right to obtain confirmation of whether or not personal data concerning him/her exist, regardless of whether they have already been recorded, and to communication of such data in an intelligible form.
2. A data subject shall also have the right to be informed of the source of personal data, the purposes and methods of processing, the logic applied to processing, if the latter is carried out with the help of electronic means, identifying data concerning the data controller, data protection managers, and the parties or categories of entity to whom the data may be communicated or who may come into their possession.
3. A data subject shall have the right to obtain the updating, correction, supplementation, deletion, or transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data that has been processed unlawfully.
4. A data subject shall have the right to object, in whole or in part, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, even though they may be relevant to the purpose of data collection, and to the processing of personal data concerning him/her for the purpose of sending advertising or direct marketing materials, or for carrying out market research or sales surveys.
To safeguard the exercise of these rights by the data subject, the Company has adopted suitable measures aimed at facilitating access to personal data by the data subject, simplifying procedures, and speeding up response to requests.
Personal data processed by the Company are not circulated to other parties.
