That is why the company has designed and developed an environmental policy, intended to guarantee eco-efficiency levels currently higher than those established by specific laws in force.

Alcantara® is the result of unique, proprietary technology yet unrivalled, thanks to which this product can maintain its absolutely unique and cutting-edge characteristics unchanged over time. Alcantara S.p.A. includes a Research & Development Center unique in Europe, dedicated to a constant research work, intended to renew the existing basic process and develop new processes and products suited to the market of the future.

Alcantara Spa includes the CSA (Applications Development Centre), divided into the Laboratory of Performance Tests (activities to assess product performance) and the Laboratory of Application Technologies (study and development of new technologies and manufacturing processes), which is able to modify the characteristics of Alcantara®, in order to offer customers tailor-made solutions.
The attention devoted to new trends and constant experimentation are at the heart of the solutions developed by the Alcantara® Style Development team. Floral decorations, silver or glitter effects, sophisticated contrasts are only a small part of the great number of possible applications. The merit goes to different and complex manufacturing processes such as laser-cutting, embossing, rolling, printing, sewing, etc. The strong technological component which is the base of Alcantara®’s production, makes it possible to create infinite associations of colours and customised solutions, intended to satisfy the needs of customers looking for exclusive products. This aims at enhancing the style and the elegance of an exclusive material worldwide.

- Öko-Tex Standard 100 certification, obtained in 1994, guarantees that contact with the product does not harm the body.
