ALCANTARA® EXTRAORDINARY EVERY DAY MOVIE CONTEST

Alcantara Spa, the leading company that “dresses” design in all its forms, has created Alcantara®LAB, a virtual lab that studies new, expressive languages based on research and innovation. The purpose of the lab is to create an ongoing dialogue with the creative world at 360 degrees, to listen to the needs and requirements of the different creative sectors, and to try and interpret them according to the Alcantara® codes and values. With these purposes in mind, Alcantara®LAB today announces an international contest, addressed to students and professionals alike, active in the fields of communications, graphic design, web design, animation, photography, movie making, and visual arts.

The EXTRAORDINARY, EVERY DAY contest is aimed at all those who live their personal experiences based on the same values that make Alcantara® unique: sensoriality, aesthetics, functionality, exclusivity and who practice the art of making life extraordinary, every day.
The participants to the contest will have to conceive, design and realize a video production (which should not be longer than 3 minutes), using all video techniques and languages available (graphics, animation, actual filming and so forth). The deadline for enrolment is January 31st, 2008 while the work should be submitted by February 29th, 2008. Information and enrolment forms are available on www.alcantaralab.com/moviecontest, a web section that is entirely dedicated to the movie contest.

Taking part in a very un-ordinary contest will certainly be a pleasure for the participants. A pleasure that will be made greater by the award of 15,000 € and by the honour of being evaluated by a prestigious international and multi-disciplinary jury that will hand out the prizes during the Milan International Furniture Fair in 2008.
