Pal Zileri: Luxury chooses Alcantara®

As a unique, multi-purpose and highly versatile material, and thanks also to a variety of fabric finishing processes, effects and colours, Alcantara® can provide the most custom-made solutions for designer clothing. It is not by chance, therefore, that Pal Zileri, one of the unquestioned leaders in the world of tailoring for men, has chosen Alcantara® for its collections.
Over the past seasons, Pal Zileri has been making increasing use of Alcantara® material with the goal of enriching the articles in its range. It is used in jackets for sleeve patches that harmonise with the identical colours of the undercollar, a detail that brings up the finished article, granting it a semblance of the casual. Another application of Alcantara® is in the welts of inside pockets of blazers and overcoats, in this way producing attractive chromatic contrasts between the pockets and the interior lining of the garment’s main body. During the 2007-2008 winter season, and in keeping with the spirit of the rest of the collection, Alcantara® will be used for this latter purpose even with the most vivid of colours, such as cornflower blue and red.
Alcantara® is employed in casual wear for the manufacture of special detachable inserts such as the snug and elegant Alcantara® waistcoats. With trousers, too, numerous models contain special Alcantara® trimmings and the same goes for an assortment of knitwear items.
Pal Zileri’s use of Alcantara® will continue on into the spring-summer season of 2008, with lines encompassing sandy hues.
