The two companies have been forging ahead together in a successful partnership for almost 30 years, ever since the Fiat group decided in the early '80s to adopt Alcantara® in place of its traditional "Lancia fabric" for the interiors of the more exclusive cars in the Lancia line, starting with the Y10. This model's popularity convinced the Italian auto manufacturer to expand its use of the material to other details of the vehicle, until Alcantara® gradually became a leitmotif in the top-of-the-line interiors of all the cars in its range. And now this partnership, founded on the elegance and style for which the two brands are renowned, can boast another rising star: the New Ypsilon. This little gem from Lancia shows off new interiors upholstered in Alcantara® Starlite: a material that combines the unique qualities of Alcantara® with a more technological look. The product features a metallic effect obtained by using special high-lustre backings that can be seen through the pinhole pattern applied to the Alcantara® fabric.
