The students of today will beAlcantara S.p.A.'s partners of tomorrow in its quest to invent new lifestyles.The closing ceremony of the Interior Motives Design Awards was held on 14 September at the King Kamehameha Club in Frankfurt, with the crème de la crème of the design community in attendance: chief designers, design managers, and top executives from the entire automotive world (OEMs, System Suppliers, and independent design firms). The award ceremony, now in its third year, has become the only event dedicated to car interior design.Among the many guests who were present, young designers got the chance to encounter jury members such as Olivier Boulay (General Manager, Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Center of Japan, DaimlerChrysler), Guy Burgoyne, (Chief Designer, Interior, Volvo Car Corporation), Bill Fluharty, (VP, Industrial Design and New Product Strategy - North America, Johnson Controls), Tony Hunter, (Assistant Chief Designer, Interior Design, Land Rover), Patrick le Quement, (Senior VP, Corporate Design, Renault), RobertoPiatti, (Managing Director, Stile Bertone), Marek Reichman, (Director of Design, Aston Martin), Romulus Rost, (Head of Interior Design, Design Centre Europe GmbH), Rus Shafer (Director, Industrial Design, Intier Automotive) and Stephane Schwarz (Design Director, Nissan Design Europe).The Best Lifestyle Award , sponsored by Alcantara S.p.A., went to Curic Kemal from Wuppertal University, who received the prize directly from Angelo Bordogna, Director of Alcantara S.p.A.'s Automotive Division.Interior Motives Design Awards 2006 will be held in Paris for the fourth year of the competition: www.interiormotivesawards.comClick qui to see the video
