ALCANTARA TAKES CENTER STAGE AT IAA MOBILITY 2025

In this context, Alcantara leads the way in premium interior design.
The renowned Made in Italy material, a symbol of innovation, quality, and craftsmanship, has been chosen to enrich the design of new models presented at the fair, from Renault to Opel and BMW, confirming itself as a benchmark for excellence in automotive materials.

Renault 5 Turbo 3E

Renault surprises the public with a spectacular stand in Odeonsplatz: visitors are welcomed by a wall entirely covered in yellow Alcantara tailored with the same exclusive customization as the seats of the Renault 5 Turbo 3E vehicles: interiors with a sporty, avant-garde spirit that guarantee comfort and support even in the most extreme performances.

Renault Clio Full Hybrid E-Tech

The interiors of the new Clio Full Hybrid E-Tech also feature seats, steering wheel and door panels upholstered in Alcantara
The customizations were entirely shaped by Complex Manufacturing, Alcantara’s in-house department that combines advanced technology and artisanal mastery to develop exclusive, highly customized solutions.

Opel Mokka GSE

Alcantara also plays a leading role in the interiors of the new Opel Mokka GSE.
The central seat, crafted once again by Complex Manufacturing, combines anthracite-grey Alcantara with contrasting diagonal stitching on the upper backrest, and horizontal stitching on the seat and lower backrest.

The Alcantara interiors not only convey elegance and comfort, but also offer lightness, breathability, and optimal grip, qualities increasingly valued in the automotive sector.

Opel Grandland Electric AWD Ultimate

Special attention was given to Opel’s first fully electric all-wheel drive model: Grandland Electric AWD Ultimate. Its interiors, enhanced with light and dark grey Alcantara, feature an electrowelded band on the seats and contrasting stitching on the door panels, once again the result of Complex Manufacturing’s advanced craftsmanship.

IAA Open Space

Alcantara continues to be the preferred choice for numerous international brands.
In the “IAA Open Space” visitors admired the seats of the new BMW X3, where the material adds a touch of comfort and elegance to the cabin.

The interiors of the Lotus Emira and Eletre feature black Alcantara with decorative yellow stitching, while in the cabins of the Kia EV9 GT and Hyundai Ioniq 6N, the soft-touch material enhances both sportiness and refinement.

Among the highlights of the event stands the Lucid Air Sapphire, the luxury electric car that combines extreme performance with cutting-edge technology. Seats, steering wheel, dashboard, and headliner are all upholstered in Alcantara, offering an unparalleled tactile and visual experience

An exclusive event to celebrate design and innovation

The mobility week kicked off with an exclusive event at Walter de Silva’s Studio in Munich: “Drawing Inspirations – Celebrating Italian German Creativity”, organized by Konzepthaus and Alcantara together with the renowned designer Walter de Silva.The evening offered a unique opportunity for dialogue and inspiration, bringing together designers, professionals, and enthusiasts in an elegant and creative environment.

At the heart of the event was a talk with Walter de Silva, Lorenzo Forno (Partner and CEO of WDS Studio), and Mitja Borkert (Chief Designer of Lamborghini), exploring the strengths of the collaboration between Italian and German design, and the role of innovative materials like Alcantara in shaping contemporary style.
