The MAXXI Museum in Rome and Alcantara co-produce an exhibition of 11 installations by the same number of internationally renowned designers who explore the versatility of a unique, innovative material, researching new territories and new interpretive models.
Testifying to its privileged relations with the world of fashion design, Alcantara is a partner of Who Is On Next?, a project developed and mounted by Alta Roma in cooperation with Vogue Italia and 11 emergent fashion designers: Angelos Bratis, Au Jour Le Jour, Co/te, Cristina Miraldi, Marta Ferri, Stella Jean, Tô Long-Nam, Alessio Spinelli, Paula Cademartori, Ragazze Ornamentali. Each fashion designer creates an outfit or accessory made entirely in Alcantara for their collection.
Milan Design Week, April
In The Dream House, Alcantara shows its style of the contemporary home in accordance with the multicultural approach of Giulio Cappellini and the multiethnic vision of Paola Navone.
Paris and New York, April
Five fashion designers - Mary Katrantzkou, Louise Gray, David Koma, Michaeal Van Der Ham and Todd Lynn – showcase their interpretation of Alcantara in a collection of hi-tech accessories and maxi shopping bags presented in New York and Paris in occasion of the LONDON Show ROOMS events.
