In celebration of Marie Claire Maison’s 20th birthday, Alcantara is participating in the exhibition ‘Le Case di Carta’, held in the spaces of Mudec Photo, Milan, which retraces the changes that have occurred in the world of interior design over the last two decades through Marie Claire Maison’s most emblematic iconic objects, images and covers.
LE CASE DI CARTA: ALCANTARA & MARIE CLAIRE MAISON
Alcantara is a partner of ‘Le Case di Carta’, an exhibition organised by Marie Claire Maison magazine dedicated to the last 20 years of lifestyle and design.
Five habitats, five lifestyles
The exhibition, curated by Domitilla Dardi and under the patronage of Milan City Council, leads visitors on a journey featuring five habitats that speak of issues associated with different lifestyles and a domestic dimension made of dreams, passions and personalities:
the Casa Archivio (archive house) the Casa Performance (performance house), the Casa Pura (pure house), the Casa delle Superfunzioni (house of super-functions) and the Casa Tecno-Craft (techno-craft house).
Alcantara, the Made In Italy brand which has always played a part in the world of interior design, offers visitors a sensory and immersive experience through selected iconic pieces from its art archives: Foreverhouse by Neri&Hu, a work created in 2016 by Neri&Hu for the ‘Alcantara-MAXXI’ exhibition, Local Icons east-west, and Alcantara Wood by Nendo, a project conceived by Nendo Design Studio in 2015 for the ‘Technology of Dreams’ exhibition.
The Soft touch material is also a common thread that accompanies visitors as they explore the different rooms of the exhibition, as seen in a cloth printed with the most emblematic covers from Marie Claire Maison’s last 20 years, displayed in the entrance halls, and in a doorway that divides and welcomes visitors into the various settings with brightly coloured panels and soft fringes.
The ‘Le Case di Carta’ exhibition is open to the public from Thursday 16 November to Sunday 19 November 2023 at Mudec Photo in Milan.
